UPDATED 4-1-2022
The Baltimore Playhouse encourages the use of masks but it is no longer required. Masks and vaccination policies are now going to be left in the hands of the event hosts. Most events are still VAX ONLY. You need to check the event page to ensure you know the requirements.
The following 3 rules STILL APPLY!
Rule 3: Absolutely NO furniture is allowed to be moved. We have set up everything to be as socially distant as possible for use.
Rule 4: This rule is already been on the board but it will be reiterated here – NO outside food or drink. Also, there will be no potlucks during this restrictive time.
Rule 5: This rule is also already been in place but bears repeating – you MUST clean up after your scene. Metricide is available at all cleaning stations. Spray everything (including sides/legs) and let sit for a minimum of 60 seconds. Then wipe down. The longer you leave the Metricide on the equipment, the better. Our suggestion is to move the bottom to a safe place, spray down the equipment, and then tend to your bottom, put your toys away, etc., and wipe down when you are ready to leave the area.
UPDATED 1-1-2022:
Masks are still required AT ALL TIMES. NO – oral sex is not allowed due to this restriction. Most events are now VAX ONLY – be sure you read the event pages carefully! RULES 2-5 BELOW ARE STILL IN EFFECT!
UPDATED 7-1-21:
We have eliminated the use of the Covid Waiver and taking of temps at the front desk. YOU ARE STILL REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS INSIDE AT ALL TIMES! No, a vaccine card does not exempt you! Rules 2 – 5 below are STILL in effect until the owner’s decide differently.
UPDATED 5-14-21:
We are still only open at 50% capacity, in line with what the Governor and Mayor have mandated. We are aware of the CDC stating masks aren’t needed indoors with other people who are vaccinated. YOU ARE STILL REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS INSIDE THE BALTIMORE PLAYHOUSE. ALL FIVE RULES LISTED BELOW ARE STILL IN EFFECT! This has NOT changed for us and will not change until the owners are satisfied with the progression of the decline of Covid. Better to be overly cautious and end this thing than have to deal with another outbreak.
Rule 1: Everyone will have their temperature taken when entering the building. We have a heavy-duty, handheld, non-contact, infrared forehead thermometer and if it shows a temp higher than 100.4, you will not be allowed in and will be sent away.
Rule 2: Everyone is required to wear a mask and it must be worn properly. It should completely cover your mouth and nose. We understand this can be an issue for some people but we are firm on this particula guideline. Social distancing is to be followed when not in a scene!

Rule 4: This rule is already been on the board but it will be reiterated here – NO outside food or drink. Also, there will be no potlucks during this restrictive time.

UPDATED 4-12-21:
We are currently open at a 50% capacity, in line with the new rules given by the Governor and Mayor. If you are from another state, those exceptions are no long in place.
We understand that people are slowly getting their vaccines. This is great! However, this does not mean you are allowed to violate our current Covid Rules, listed below. Masks will remain mandatory until such a time as the CDC says they aren’t needed anymore.
No, we will not require you to have a vaccine. There are a lot of vaccines we think everyone should have, but we aren’t your mother.
No, we will not ask to see your vaccine card. Get the vaccine or don’t – this doesn’t effect our Covid specific rules in the least. They must be followed REGARDLESS!
UPDATED 1-15-21:
Along with everything below, we have a newer rule that needs attention! Per Governor Hogan – All Marylanders who do travel outside of Maryland or any individuals who do travel to Maryland must either obtain a negative COVID-19 test result or self-quarantine for 10 days. This applies to all states, with the exception of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, DC. Which means, if you come into town from any other state, you will *not* be allowed into the Playhouse at this time.
We are all having to deal with a new gathering situation. In order to keep the Playhouse as safe as possible, one of the biggest things we are implementing is the ULV atomizer spray fogger to spray throughout the space (along with the commercial grade, disinfectant sanitizer to use for the fogger). These are being adapted for use by major Hotels and Airlines as part of their cleaning protocols in-between uses. We will be implementing this as part of our nightly cleaning protocols.
We feel that in an effort to keep everyone as safe as we can, there are new rules in place for every attendee, volunteer, and manager. Please know that these are temporary until such a time when the CDC states that the pandemic is officially over.
Rule 1: Everyone will have their temperature taken when entering the building. We have a heavy-duty, handheld, non-contact, infrared forehead thermometer and if it shows a temp higher than 100.4, you will not be allowed into the building and be sent away.
Rule 2: Everyone is required to wear a mask and it must be worn properly. It should completely cover your mouth and nose. We understand this can be an issue for some people but we are firm on this particular guideline. Social distancing is to be followed when not in a scene!

Rule 4: This rule is already been on the board but it will be reiterated here – NO outside food or drink. Also, there will be no potlucks during this restrictive time.

Below is a copy of the waiver that everyone, from management down, must sign each time they come into the Playhouse for an event. There are NO exceptions. Please see Maryland.Gov for more info on contact tracing and more!
PLEASE NOTE: The phone number listed is for contact tracing ONLY. All other calls will go unanswered.
